About the Conference INCOM 2026
The 3rd International Conference on Mechanical Engineering (INCOM 2026) was successfully held during 08 – 10 January 2026, organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Jadavpur University.
The inaugural session, held at Dr. M. L. Sircar Hall, IACS, featured eminent dignitaries - Shri Dinesh Kumar Singh (ISRO) as Guest-in-Chief, Prof. Suman Chakraborty (IIT Kharagpur) as Guest of Honour and Prof. Pradip Dutta (IISc Bangalore) as featured guest.
The three-day program comprised 19 invited lectures (5 plenary, 12 keynote, 2 memorial lectures), an industry–academia panel discussion supported by CII, industry presentations and extensive parallel technical sessions.
The CII-supported industry–academia panel discussion, titled “Future Engineers Unlocked: Mastering Skills for Smart, Sustainable Industry”, was a key highlight of INCOM 2026, emphasizing the critical need for sustained collaboration between academia and industry.
The conference received institutional support from Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) and Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA 2.0).
INCOM 2026 featured 10 technical tracks, covering core, traditional, emerging and interdisciplinary domains, including a dedicated track on Mechanical Engineering Education.
The conference received 275 paper submissions, of which 240 were accepted for oral presentation after a thorough review process.
